In early January 2017, Cooper River Partners announced completion of their $2.7 million solar farm at the Charleston International Manufacturing Center, which is the first of its’ kind established in Berkeley County. The solar farm, which took less than 60 days to construct, is a grid-connected project that generates enough capacity to provide electricity to 150 homes. A second site is expected to be completed by 2017 Q4.
“We’re a big consumer of power. This is a way of doing in a renewable way,” Cooper River Partners CEO Mark Fetten said.
